New York Life Launches Women Careers Website

New York Life Insurance Co. has launched a new website that will provide women with information about the types of careers that can be found within the life insurance industry. The website is called NYL Careers for Women and can be found at www.nylcareersforwomen.com. It has information about careers and opportunities in both sales and field management in life insurance, and includes details of careers that may be found at different stages of professional development.

The website contains a questionnaire, which can help women see how suited they are for a career in sales in the life insurance industry. There is also information about careers at New York Life Insurance Co. This includes a video of agents and managers that are currently working for New York Life and their experiences in working with the company. A timeline of famous women who have worked at New York Life and information about the history of how New York Life has created opportunities for women is also provided.

In March o f this year, New York Life received recognition for its advocacy of women in the workforce. It now is listed on the "Top 30 Companies for Female Executives", compiled by the National Association for Female Executives. New York Life has a Women's Markets division, that aims to recruit and keep women managers and agents, increase sales to women customers and discuss best practices in targeting the women's market. The Women's Markets division also hosts conferences, including a recent Women's Market Conference.

As well as this, New York Life has set up a Women's Leadership Project. This project helps to enhance leadership development for women who are working at New York Life. They also have a toll-free number that people can ring to find information about careers in life insurance.

There is also an extra section that gives women information on financial maters. It includes information for small business owners and tips on saving for life events.
