Joint life insurance
Joint life insurance refers to a credit life insurance policy where both the borrower and co-borrower are insured. It provides coverage to two or more persons along with death benefits. The death benefits are payable upon the death of the insured. When compared to other life insurance policies, premiums are slightly higher for joint life insurance policies.
The reason behind this is there are chances for the death claims of two people. This increases the chances for an early payout of the benefits. Incase of the living of one or more lives on maturity date, the sum assured and the bonuses will be paid on the maturity date.
They are particularly suitable for married couples, business partners etc . It combines two people in a program. Both are covered by the same plan. This is one of the most affordable kinds of group life insurance. It is the most economical way of getting protected.
